Privacy Policy
Effective date: November 4, 2026
Draft — review by Ontario lawyer recommended.
1. Who we are
This policy explains how Adskings (“Adskings”, “we”), 33 Bloor St E, 5th Floor, Toronto, ON M4W 3H1, collects, uses, discloses and protects personal information. It applies to our website, our communications and the B2B contact databases we compile and license. We follow the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and its 10 fair information principles, Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) and, for individuals in Québec, the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector as amended by Law 25.
2. Privacy Officer (accountability)
Our Privacy Officer, who is also the person in charge of the protection of personal information for Québec purposes, is Alisher Daurov, info@adskings.ca, 33 Bloor St E, 5th Floor, Toronto, ON M4W 3H1. Write to this person for any question, request or complaint.
3. Information we collect
Website visitors. When you use our contact form we collect your name, business email, company, website and message, plus your consent choice. Our host records standard technical data (IP address, browser, date/time, pages requested) in server logs.
Chat. If live chat is enabled on the site, we receive what you type into it and the technical data the chat provider needs to run it.
Clients. Contact, billing and contract information for client representatives, and campaign data processed on their behalf.
B2B contact database. Business contact information of professionals: name, job title, business email, business phone, company, industry, business address and the public source where it was found. We do not collect personal (non-business) information, sensitive information or information about minors for this database.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies at the date of this policy. Our pricing page stores a currency exchange rate in your browser’s local storage (no personal information) for 24 hours so the USD/CAD converter loads quickly; it fetches that rate from the Bank of Canada and, as backup, from a public exchange-rate service, which receive your IP address as part of the request. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address. If we add analytics or chat that sets cookies, we will update this section and, where required, ask for your consent first.
5. Why we use information (identifying purposes)
- to answer inquiries and provide quotes;
- to deliver and invoice our services and perform contracts;
- to compile, verify and license B2B databases and run B2B email campaigns relevant to the recipient’s business role;
- to keep suppression (do-not-contact) lists and CASL consent evidence;
- to secure our systems, prevent fraud and comply with law.
We will not use information for a new purpose without identifying it and, where required, obtaining consent.
6. Consent and CASL
For website and chat data, we rely on your consent, given when you submit the form or chat. For the B2B database, we collect only business contact information that has been conspicuously published (for example on a company website or professional directory) or disclosed to us, without a statement that the person does not wish to receive unsolicited commercial electronic messages, and we use it only for messages relevant to the person’s business role or functions — implied consent under CASL s. 10(9)(b). We keep a record of the source and date collected for each contact. Every commercial electronic message identifies the sender, includes a mailing address and contact information, and contains a working unsubscribe mechanism. Unsubscribe requests are given effect without delay and within 10 business days.
You may withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions, by emailing info@adskings.ca.
7. Database licensing to clients
We disclose that segments of our B2B database are licensed to our business clients under written contracts that require them to use the data only for their own lawful B2B outreach, to comply with CASL and privacy laws, to honour unsubscribe requests, and not to resell or share it. Each segment contains control (seed) records so we can detect misuse. When a client sends you a message, the client is the sender of record and is identified in it. If you ask us to be removed, we add you to our master suppression list so you are excluded from future segments, and we ask the relevant clients to suppress you.
8. Service providers
We use service providers that process personal information on our behalf under contracts or terms requiring protection of that information, including:
- Netlify (website hosting and contact form) — USA;
- Google Workspace (email) — USA/other;
- Benchmark Email (email sending platform) and our sending-infrastructure partners — [LOCATION TO CONFIRM];
- Tidio (live chat, when enabled) — [LOCATION TO CONFIRM];
- Stripe (payments, when enabled) — USA/other;
- our email verification provider [PROVIDER NAME TO CONFIRM].
We do not sell website visitor or client information. Information may be disclosed if required by law.
9. Storage outside Canada and Québec
Some of our providers store or process information in the United States and possibly other countries. Information there is subject to the laws of those countries and may be accessed by their courts, law enforcement and national security authorities. Before transferring information about Québec residents outside Québec, we assess whether it will receive adequate protection, as Law 25 requires.
10. Retention
Inquiries that do not lead to a contract: up to 24 months. Client and billing records: 7 years (tax rules). CASL consent and source evidence: at least 3 years after the last message. Database records: while they are accurate and in use; records that bounce or can’t be re-verified are deleted. Suppression entries are kept permanently, in minimal form, so we never contact you again. We then destroy or anonymize information securely.
11. Accuracy and safeguards
We verify business emails before use and refresh database records periodically. We protect information with safeguards appropriate to its sensitivity: access limited to people who need it, multi-factor authentication on accounts, encrypted transmission (HTTPS/TLS), contractual controls on clients and providers, and seed records to detect misuse.
12. Privacy incidents
We keep a register of all confidentiality incidents. If a breach of security safeguards creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada and affected individuals as soon as feasible, as PIPEDA requires. For Québec residents, incidents presenting a risk of serious injury are reported to the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec and to the individuals concerned.
13. Your rights (access, correction, removal)
You may ask to know whether we hold information about you, its source, how it is used and to whom it was disclosed; to access or correct it; to withdraw consent; or to be removed from our database and added to our suppression list. Québec residents may also request de-indexation and, where applicable, data portability. Email info@adskings.ca with the subject “Privacy request”. We may verify your identity and will respond within 30 days.
14. Complaints (challenging compliance)
Contact our Privacy Officer first; we will investigate and reply. You also have the right to complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, in Québec, to the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.
15. Changes
We will post updates on this page with a new effective date. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.
